Does anybody can comment on using SSDs in raid 0 ?

I have personally experienced that the performance gain is not as good as expected when stripping 2 SSD together.

As an example I have 2 Supertalent 64GB, that each deliver about 126MB/s sustain write with large sequential access, and when stripped together performance only increase to 165 MB/s.

On the same controller, ICH10R, if I use 2 1TB mechanical drive Seagate barracuda, I can almost double the write speed when using 2 disks versus 1.

I'm not sure but I noticed a lot of advert that show the benefits of RAIDed SSD...

    Just like "PhotoFast G-Monster Evolution"

I did more experiment and test. Sequential write can actually be very fast under the right conditions.
