Hi guys(and gals). Just wanted to let you know I've been beta testing the new Vertex 3 drive for a while now and it's even better than the first model.

Less throttling and greater performance in every way makes it a "must have" for anyone thinking of a SATA3 upgrade. Even works pretty well on the Marvell 6G chipsets included on many boards.

The other thing to consider is the increased performance when it's used on SATA2 as well. MUCH stronger write speeds when using incompressible data such as video, music, pics, zips, rars, etc. Well worth the upgrade even if you already have a good SSD.

Just thought I'd share. Any Q's?.. feel free to ask.

They are already out- you can get a OCZ Vertex 3 120GB for around $300. Just make sure you have a SATA3 interface or else it's probably not worth it.
