Wanted to update my 32GB SSD to larger capacity one for my EP121, looking between Intel 310 80GB and Renice X3 mSATA 120GB, got that the Renice write speed is much faster than Intel, and the 120GB is more favor to me, I finally bought a Renice 120GB and mSATA adapter from ***, these cost me USD314.9.
I tested it with CrystalDiskMark:
Sequential read/write: 190MB/S 100MB/S
512k read/write: 185MB/S 108MB/S
4k Random read/write: 12MB/S 20MB/S
4k Raddom read/write (QD32): 10MB/S 90MB/S
A little higher than the benchmarks published by ***, but I feel curious that why CDM test data is such lower than the data in ATTO. (I haven’t tested in ATTO benchmarks, just saw the data from ***). While for me this is not so important, but the real use is the key point. The boot time decreased, no seek delays for Firefox, applications just popup instantly.
My buying experience is easy from ***, I just paid with paypal and soon got confirmation email, on the other day I received notification mail showed my order is already shipped, and then I received it in 3 days from DHL. |

| Hi, for your information. storage review has written a very detailed review about the Renice X3 mSATA 120GB drive, with comparison of other major brands as well. Perhaps it will explain the performance details better. |
